We all want the recognition. We want to standout, we want to be credited for “being the best” at what we do.
And when it comes to your business, you want to be shine even brighter.
But Are You the Best According to Google?
As of late, I’ve had alot of consultations with businesses about wanting to be “the best” in what they are doing. Now, as you all know that having a good re-designed site, good concept and quality of content for your site users is important, but one thing that most business will not correctly do and that ring out loud about how they are the best!
And how do you do that?
Well, simply put, you need public feedback. And as much as you can possibly get from ALL possible avenues on the web. Because now:
Google Has Started Giving Suggestion on Who’s The Best!
That’s right. As we all know social media management is very important. But social media is just the general term for the name of the cog that turns in the machine.
Now Google will give top priority to “who they feel are the best experience providers” based on an aggregation of many points. So if you have all other avenues of you digital profile on the right track, but you you are neglecting both your reputation management, and reputation marketing, then you are ultimately losing out on some potential brand advocates.
Let’s take a a look at this example, that I just recently received results on:
I did a Google Search Term for “Best Chinese Seafood Westminster”. And This is what I received.
Now if anyone is familiar with neighborhood for this local search marketing term, for anyone looking for the “best Chinese seafood” understand that their are literally up to a 100 different locations that sell a variation of Chinese seafood on their menus. So what makes these places so special, that they are literally getting the lion’s share of search traffic?
Because unlike other restaurants/companies these companies are pro-actively engaging, using and working with social media with their local reputation marketing and reputation management.
They get reviews, they have write-ups, and they aren’t leaving it to just “one site” to carry their brand or their SEO efforts.
This is what we call “Profile Power”, and not only does it steer immediate traffic to the potential business, but has other underlying benefits as well.
Potential customer, patrons or clients that are seeking “the best” have tried the rest and are looking for an experience. These potential patrons if given a good experience (even if it is their first time) can really become brand and business ambassadors for you because they are looking to “filter through the noise” and get the best! Period.
Even a small newer establishment can make the right online and offline business plan of action to be seen with the big boys as long as “they are doing their best online” in all aspects of their online marketing, social media engagement and experience profile.
Smaller new businesses may not have the clientele to have as large as a profile of reviews and citations as an older established location, but if you are doing things differently, and standing out from the rest with the right plan of action, then you can be the best too.
So what are you going to do so you become the Best?!
